Chemin de fer Baie des Chaleurs

The Chemin de fer Baie des Chaleurs is a rail line in Canada. The line began began operations in December 1996 as a subsidiary of the Quebec Railway Corporation, after being previously a part of CN. Its system consists of a single 202 miles (325 km) track linking Matapédia to Gaspé, Quebec. In 2007, CN repurchased the majority of the short lines that made up the Quebec Railway Company, but specifically declined to buy this railroad. To maintain operations, it was purchased by the government of Quebec[1] and now operates under the state company Corporation des Chemins de fer de la Gaspesie.[2]
